Wobbly dinette table

Morning... We just purchased a used RV. The dinette table is located on a slide. It's on 2 pedestals. One is obviously not attached to the floor well. The table is very wobbly. How do we fix this situation?

  • OP, mine has been wobbly since purchased new. Even with the mounts solidly attached, it's not a great system. I've been toying with the idea of changing the way it mounts. With a 4 and 6 year old eating at the table and leaning on the table and spilling drinks all the time it gets annoying.
  • Remove the base
Get a length of wooden dowel.....3/8" should work
Drill out existing screw holes to accept the dowel (one drill size smaller then dowel)
Cut some 1" lengths ...wood glue/pound dowels into the screw holes...cut flush with floor
Reinstall base...using existing screws...drill small pilot hole first into dowel
