wood screw tool

Every local hardware store in the US.

Buy 2 sets. One for the RV and one for home.

I have a little driver set that I bought through one of the tool suppliers at work many years ago (I was a machinist for 33 years), and it has bits for just about any type of screw. I paid $25 for it, and I've gotten my money's worth many times over. I've looked to see if it's available anywhere online, and never found anything quite like it.

Given my druthers, I'll take Torx head screws over any others. They seem to be harder to strip the drive head than any others, including square. Phillips head screws are awful. If I had to replace any screws, it would be with Torx.

I do really appreciate the square drive head but the torx is just as good and better in some cases.

RV manufacturers use the Square drive screw primarily for speed in installing.

Finding the tool here is easy, finding the screws is much more difficult.

And CW should be ashamed of itself it it didnt know what that screw was...I guarantee out in the shop there are lots of them and a whole bucket of the screws.

This cheap set from Harbor Freight has just about every bit you'll need. It's pretty handy to just leave in the trailer with a screwdriver that takes bits.

Yellow #0
Green #1
Red #2
Black #3

Robertson drivers come in 4 sizes from small to large and are yellow,green,red and black. Most trailers use red .which is a #3. Some screws are a Robertson/Philips combo.
