^ Probably not, but that's Marty's thing. How steep a hill can he dead start a load on is one of his primary criteria for determining a truck's ability.
I don't think 1/2 or 3/4 ton is even perceived as a rating. Anyone who doesn't know that it's a general term used to describe the class of truck and has absolutely nothing to do with how much it can haul in the bed won't benefit from a name change anyway. Who cares. It's like believing that if it isn't Kleenex brand, you an't blow your nose with it.
This thread was about the OP's perception of the ability of himself and his truck towing his trailer. Although it's strayed pretty far from that by now.
