I just traded in a 9 y/o Trail Lite trailer and never had any major problems with it. The only thing that kind of give me a brief scare last summer was the squirrel cage fan had a hair line crack in it and i had to replace it. I found out during this time that the AC unit was a Carrier and almost impossible to get new parts for it. I was lucky enough to get a used fan blade and it was as good as new.
The parts guy where i bought the trailer did say that if anything serious goes wrong with the unit you might have a hard time getting it fixed. That could happen too any RV though. That had absolutely no baring on trading it in this year, we just wanted to upgrade and go up in size a bit. I would buy another RV product if it was me as most all the parts on them are from an outside source.
