WOW! CTD Exhaust can scorch grass!
Parked my 2016 CTD on some short grass for about 15 minutes and let it idle. When I pulled away, the grass was scorched and later died. That exhaust gives off some heat!

They do get very hot during regen. The owners manual does warn about parking over flammable stuff like grass, etc. I was a little freaked out the first time my current truck (first modern diesel I owned) went into regen not experiencing that before. I'm pretty sure I could roast a hotdog over the exhaust. ;)
