I get why you would use the standard wheel chocks as a safety back up in case the X-chock fails for some reason, but I don't buy that they add any stability. The X-chocks, at least on my trailer, removes any movement of the wheels. Adding wheel chocks, while probably a good idea for redundancy, will not do anything.
