You are taking a chance. Chocks should always be used when disconeccting
On re-reading my post I see I should have said "if on a level site ..." As I am usually on such.
Of course you are correct. The wheel chocks should be put in place before disconnecting the "anchor" that is the truck. And I usually do that, but on occasion I have done it after unhitching, by mistake. Trailer has never ever moved on me, not in the 14 years I have been RVing.
