So you'd send fellow member in Oregon for 100 miles drive to save $9 shipping charge?
Hey Flip, come over to my place and see how you will do without AC?
It cooled down yesterday due the sand storm, but this week we go back to 115F

I'll pass. I've never been a fan of desert climes and the last time I was out your way (hunting), I distinctly remember how bad the water tasted. My idea of RV'ing is heading north, north, not south.
I'm doing a NM Elk hunt in October, that is as far as I want to go and it will be cold, we will be at 8K feet.
When I bought my new TC, the dealer asked why I didn't opt for ac. Told him I didn't need it. My old / sold Lance had it, think I used it maybe 2 times the whole time I owned it and both times the ac in the TC caused me to contract a cold.
Maybe I should invest in a portable 'swamp cooler' ya think? - SidecarFlipExplorer III

Sideflip, selectively pure, you aren't under the stars with a bed roll. Doesnt sound like you need a generator of any type ... well, unless the Dewalt needs a charge.
Actually, I do need a genny. While I don't have ac (which I consider unnecessary because we camp in the Michigan woods most of the time or in moderate northern climates), I need a genny to top off my batteries because I sleep on a CPAP machine every night. Consequently, the CPAP machine pulls the batteries down. My machine isn't capable of direct plug into 12 volt power so I have a 1500 watt PSW inverter that runs the machine, a necessary evil that requires a genny to charge the house batteries back up.
My regimen usually is, run the genny in ECO mode for a couple hours during the evening around dinner time and shut it off and... I bought the Champ because it fits nicely in the shower pan in the bathroom, out of sight and mind. My old / sold Yamaha 2800I would never fit in that space. Typically, one tank of gas lasts a week.
So yes, I do (need a genny) but nothing large. The cheapo Champ fits my needs quite nicely and I like the pismuckle yellow case it's in too. So far (3 years now) been as reliable as my wife is.:B - 3_tonsExplorer III

Here we go again with the Honda phooey...lol
Juice is juice in my view.
Until you want to start a AC then max surge allowed matters and the Honda wins.
I'm a purist. Don't have AC on the TC. Don't have AC at home either. I'm into BO......:p
Additionally, I don't even have electric jacks. Use my DeWalt cordless to raise and lower the TC.
Honda don't win with me. Never has. Too expensive.... Next - IAMICHABODExplorer IIDoes anyone know if this generator is grounded or do you have to make Bonding Plug like you do with most inverter generators to make it compatible with a EMS protected RV.

For that price I'd buy one to carry and keep the Champ 2000 at home for emergency backup. Trouble is, we're on the Oregon Coast and Costco is 100 miles away. I'll check and see if I can get one and pick it up Wednesday or Thursday. Probably in store only.
Chances are you will not find the generator there.
Costco is switching big items sales to shipping and very often shipping is free.
For this generator they quote me $9 shipping.
Sure worth comparing to fuel you'd have to burn to pick it up.
2-day shipping is $38

Please recall that these are "Yamaha powered" and NOT actual Yamaha gensets. - GordonThreeExploreris it the newer ef2000ISV2 Yamaha?? maybe they're clearing old stock of the now deprecated ef2000IS
