Just dewinterized ours yesterday. Moved it out of it's storage space and took it a drive around the block. I will need to get the mandatory state inspection next month, but our first trip coming up will not require that be done yet. Personally, I think the whole yearly inspection for trailers is a bit overdone, considering how many miles are put on the average trailer every year. Pull two wheels and check brakes, bearings, etc., and mess with my perfect condition of preload and risk seal damage? Just crazy, IMO. I have a local garage agree to do alternate wheels every year so at least when I recheck them I get peace of mind that ALL systems get a peek every other year.
Other than safety stuff, brakes, lights, chains, tires, etc., I give it a pretty good going over before the first trip every year. I do NOT like surprises.
