- rockhillmanorExplorer IIHook up to water line and open all faucets until all the pink is gone and water runs clear.
Add a bit of bleach and fill up fresh tank and let sit overnight.
Run all faucets until smell has dissipated.
Wash outside of RV and then I am on the road and gone! - RVnMCExplorerI just called for my de-winterizing and trip readying appt at the local RV service center.
My battery has been on trickle at home since November when trailer got winterized and dropped off at storage lot. I just need to remember to take it with me when I go get the trailer. :S - Majja13ExplorerI leave mine plugged in all winter, so I check batteries for water. Fill water tank with water and about 3 cups bleach and cycle through the lines and let sit for a few days. After the sit I flush the entire water system 2 or 3 Tim's until I can not smell bleach. Make sure the tires have air, check for any leaks from the winter. Check lights and call it good. This year I am going to either repack or replace my bearings.

Bring stored items back from S&B that were stored for winter and replace what is needed for new season.
TT is next to S&B and plugged in all year. TV only gets used for TT or big snows so it needs to be done also. All items are removed in fall including toiletries, baggies, paper, and chemicals. We use them through the winter and replace with new in Spring. Linens and a few clothes are left in the TT.
What is S&B? - dalenoelExplorer III usually use about a cup for the 48 gallons of my tank. It may be too much but after time it will be washed out. To flush the lines I use the city water inlet but fill and drain the FW tank to eliminate bleach. Be sure to use non-=foaming.
- 2oldmanExplorer IISection 23b of the Rving FAQ.
- ArcticRamExplorerThanks for the lists so us rookies have an idea of what to do. Just curious since this our first winter with the trailer, how much bleach do you put in the fresh water tank? I believe our tank is 45 gallons. Also does it give off any kind of after taste after you flush it out?
- dalenoelExplorer III don't have a check list. But the plan this years is:
• Uncover the trailer in April after snow is done
• Repair any spots on cover and store on a warm day
• Replace all alarm, remotes, etc. batteries and run slides out
• Empty all compartments, inventory, replace, remove, repack what is needed
• Hook up city water
• flush antifreeze out the water lines,
• fill the fresh water tank, add bleach, pump bleach water thru lines, let stand while doing everything else, drain tank, fill with fresh water, flush lines, drain again
• check all faucets working and no leaks,
• turn on fridge to make sure it works,
• make sure toilet flushes and shuts off,
• check/add water in batteries (also done at least once during winter),
• wash roof, awning and sides
• Check tires and spare
• Bring stored items back from S&B that were stored for winter and replace what is needed for new season.

Right now it is 32 but was -2 last night and 15 tonight. I can go in to check conditions anytime but usually every two weeks. It’ll be another 4 weeks before the process starts. - kearlmsExplorerFirst I have to make sure it isn't going to freeze and then I start on a list just like this minus the Satellite and Washer/Dryer:

1. flush antifreeze out the water lines,
2. fill the fresh water tank, add bleach, pump bleach water thru lines, let stand while doing everything else, drain tank, fill with fresh water, flush lines, drain again, and refill to about half,
3. run washer/dryer to make sure it works,
4. check all faucets working and no leaks,
5. turn on fridge to make sure it works,
6. make sure toilet flushes and shuts off,
7. check/add water in batteries (also done at least once during winter),
8. wash it,
9. check satellite system to make sure it works,
10. inventory supplies to see what we need to buy for new season.
My 5er stays in storage several months during the winter with power connected.
I have a few friends that dewinterized last weekend due to the great Saturday we had and then this week the nights have been below 20 degrees. I tried to warn them.
