I have never seen potable water at any dump station, but then I have not seen all the dump stations in North America either. There is fresh water at the dump station but I usually see signs saying that it is not for drinking. Just wondering ...
In the midwest and Lake States, many places I've been to have dump stations that have two sources of water. Right by where you get rid of your black water, there is a water source for flushing and rinsing you black water tank and hoses and this is clearly marked "not for drinking". On the far side of the dump station, usually about 75-100 feet away, is the fresh water spigot which is marked "potable water" and is used for filling your FW tank. This is pretty much SOP in the midwest, although may be different in other parts of the country.
