Fast guns positioning

I use these tie downs but they are hard to secure due to space limitations and I don’t want to damage the side of my truck . I have seen lately on YouTube, people have the Fastguuns mounted upside down and if I did that I would avoid hitting my truck with the tightening Handle . Does anyone else out there mount them upside down? I would think the Handle area may fill with water or road debris causing a problem , Thanks

I've never had a problem with the handle positions, but I use threaded quick links to change the Fastguns position.  If you look at my rear Fastgun, I use a stainless steel threaded quicklink on both ends to turn the handle 90 degrees.  From inwards/outwards like the front it is front/rear in the back.

  • They work the same upside right or upside down. Not a question really.

I just wanted to know if water damage would happen or road debis that would impede thier operation if upside down , but i guess it doesnt matter ,Thanks
