I had to reset my Victron MPPT 150/70 Solar Controller. What happened is, while I was in the barn working on the truck and replacing the engine, I was getting no solar charging because I was inside a building unable to get sun to charge the batteries. Obviously, I couldn't run the engine to charge via the DC to DC charger either. I used a 6 amp charger to maintain charge on the batteries. Apparently, because the charger operates at a higher voltage than the solar controller, it forced a safety shut down of the Victron MPPT solar controller. To restore function, you need to do a reset which consists of disconnecting both the solar and battery connections from the MPPT controller, then reconnecting them. Everything works now.

I have a reason for 3000 watts. I do run the fridge on electric, grind coffee, run a couple laptops and printer, charge phones and other USB charged devices, then of course lighting. It all adds up. I would also like the ability to run the AC on very hot days. Generally there is plenty of sun on those hot days. The batteries have a full charge of 400 AH and my solar is capable of supplying just over 50 amps. If I had to run the truck, I can generate another 30 amps, 50 when I upgrade to the new Victron 50 amp DC to DC charger, More if I parallel a pair but that shouldn't be necessary. All this has a secondary purpose, if power goes out, I can run a plug from the TC into the house and power a couple items like the fridge, and furnace. If it saves us once, it's worth it.

nice ya&nbsp; I do pretty much all the same stuff except the fridge, I am a propane kinda guy for that, and I don't need to run the ac.&nbsp; I did notice that renogy makes a HF 3000 watt inverter that is split phase and looks like it can use the batteries to augment the shore power also.&nbsp; I need to read more into that and see exactly how it works as that might let me upgrade the 5th wheel inverter to an inverter charger and then move my 2000 watt inverter to the camper..&nbsp; and its half the price of the equivalent Victron multi plex up here.&nbsp;&nbsp;

could you not have just plugged the camper in and keep the batteries up that way?&nbsp; am I missing something you had to use a separate 6amp charger?

I had a 45 amp boondocker from the guy in Idaho that burned out, I'm guessing because it couldn't handle the current demand of 400 AH of LIFEPO batteries.

I'm looking to replace it with a Victron 3000 watt pure sine inverter charger. The delay is, our engine self destructed, and we never made it to Quartzsite to buy one. Mail ordernow I suppose.

ahh, it probably just died, it wouldn't be because of the LiFePO4, they don't draw power they accept power like any other battery.&nbsp; they just do it more efficiently.
a 3000 watt, wow are you running the microwave and the toaster at the same time?&nbsp; I just run a 2000 watt in my 5th wheel, I couldn't imagine what I would do with a 3000 watt inverter haha.&nbsp; I am looking at the renogy 2000 watt inverter/charger for my truck camper.&nbsp; just haven't decided for sure if I want to put an inverter in it yet.&nbsp; &nbsp;if I do THIS is the one I am looking at.&nbsp;&nbsp;
