Very creative and resourceful solution!  So do you just leave the front brackets swung out all the time now since those don’t appear to pivot without loosening some hardware?
Seems risky to use the camper jacks as curb feelers!

    It's kind of the thing Captain Obvious would know as with all such braces be they Lance, Torklift, or homemade,  they would have to be at least partially disconnected like mine, or fully disconnected to swing the jacks or curb finders in. Here's a couple pictures to assist with the visualization.
