Rieco Titan TC Jack Swing Out Bracket Modification / Installation
REICO TITAN TC Jack Extension Modification and Installation
I installed Reico Titan jack extension swingout brackets for loading unloading the TC on off the F550 Dually. The extension swingout brackets needed some modification to fit around the old style Atwood Jack Motors. Not much adjustment, but it required the use of a 4" right angle grinder to do the job. I simply notched about 3/8" out of the top corner of the mounting area to create the need clearance. I got the swingouts from Panther RV, 430.00 plus tax, about 474.00 total. I'm happy with the setup. they do the job, but I think they add some instability to the jack due to the extension. I'm going to make a shaft of metal that will connect to a pipe bracket on the jack about a foot down from the bottom of the jack corner bracket and a bracket that will mount under the side of the TC into the 2x3 framing member there to create a more solid bracing from front to rear. I did notice the jack leg tended to want to lean more than I was comfortable with. Camper going forward, leg leaning back under the TC. I believe a brace will prevent that issue. The brace should clear the dually fenders when loading. The front jack mount brackets are both solidly bolted into the TC corner framing but the jack legs have more flex or bendability than you would think. I'll show that fix when I figure it out.
