- rlb8sExplorerInstalled a 24" TV in the TC, and added a 7 pin plug to my truck. I'm looking forward to my first trip with the new to me TC in early June. It is good to be back in a TC.
- joe123ExplorerGave it a bath.
- kjenckesExplorerI finally got around to putting vent covers on my roof. I bought them 3 months ago. I have 1 vent with a fan and 1 with out. The one with out cracked and the replacement was more money than I spent on these 2 covers. Now I don't have to worry about leaving them open when I leave. It should have taken all of 15 minutes when I looked at the instructions. Not quite. I had to pull the vent screens and the inside molding on the one with the fan. Then drill. Then use these tiny, and I mean tiny, frikken nuts/washers/ and bolts. It probably took 45 minutes to an hour each. Then I had to adjust one as it was too close to the front of the vent which would hit it and not close. Very happy I did it. $20.20 each Amazon Prime.
- JoeChiOhkiExplorer IISpent $650 at Mr. Plywood for RV ceiling panels, matching seam trim pieces, 1 1/2" Foil sided R9 foam board insulation, several sheets of 1/4" plywood, several tubes of construction adhesive and a giant caulk gun.
- jimh406Explorer IIIFired up the new AC and heat element on the Coleman Mach 8 Cub. I can't say the heat element is going to set any records, but the temperature did rise. It wasn't much of a test for the AC because it isn't warm, but I tested it as well. While I was at it, I confirmed that the furnace was ok after the AC install guys rewired the furnace thermostat. It took a few tries to get it to produce heat. Either the battery was just low or the guys pulled it and put air in the LP lines.
Looked again to see if there is and easy way to get 12V wires from the battery compartment to the inside of the camper where I need them. I still don't have it figured out because there is a slide on that side. I'm not confident that the movement in the slide will be ok although I guess other wires move without too much issue. - wvabeerExplorerInstalled banana jacks and plugs for outdoor speakers that is connected to the new Bluetooth Pioneer radio. I also install a ball valve and 1" 20 fitting for outdoor cooking. I loaded the beast up aired the tires up, washed truck and camper. My sweetie loaded up my clothes and cleaned the inside up. Motorcycle loaded on the trailer, I'm almost ready to go Campin again. ;) getting excited. :)
- billyray50ExplorerNothing... My hunt for another TC will be delayed a little..Dropped off my truck to the body shop to repair major damage from the 2 devastating Hailstorms here in north Texas back in end of march and beginning of April. OEM parts finally arrived. Replacing roof, hood, windshield, rear passenger crew door, passenger power mirror, and dent repair to mostly whole passenger side of truck. Be ready by June 10th UUGH....
- wvabeerExplorerInstalled a 7 way receptacle in the bed of my truck. Now I can use the 12 volt part of my fridge while traveling.
- jimh406Explorer IIIHad the Dometic AC that no longer worked changed the AC to a Coleman-Mach 8 Cub with heating element. Just added the heat in case I'd ever need it while they were working on it. I thought seriously about doing it, but worried it might be too heavy to take off/on the roof for the price difference of doing it myself.
I guess 9 years on the other wasn't too bad. Hopefully, this one will last that long. I have to say the low profile at just about 8 inches looks great. - wvabeerExplorerBought a new radio, the factory one (Dual) sounds like ****.
