thanks - did put (medford to canyonville,or) towing a 24 footer

We pulled our 25 foot Airstream over it many times however having 20 - 50 foot drops one foot off the pavement is common for us so no big deal. If you are comfortable with this type of road its a nice trip.
Usaly not much traffic. Never think about it when driving it with our small motorhome.
  • I am totally with Paulj's request that all poters alway include a complete location (state or province) in their subject line!!

I wish people would include the state in the subject line. I shouldn't have to hover over the post to deduce the location from the test.Paul, Iam with you on what State, but you must like telling people what roads are like or you wouldn't post on it.

I haven't driven it, but using my favorite tools, Google Maps with terrain mode and streetview, I'd say it would be a fun one to drive in a car, but might be too much work in a large RV. It's a typical travel up one river valley, cross a divide, and down another valley. There isn't much in the way of shoulders or guardrails, but it is 2 lanes. The pass climb is about 1500 ft.

[COLOR=]The info that Paul gave you is right on, I have been on it several times and I would pull my trailer on it, (trailer and truck 30')
My friend who lives down the road from 227 and 62 has driven his 38' MH on it and said that it was OK.

A search on '227' turned up another thread on this area

but I was the only one who replied.
  • We have driven it a number of times. Not to bad a road but as stated above it has no shoulders in places so need to keep on the pavement. This however is the way with most of the roads we run in this part of the world. You made no real statement as to your rig size so if you have a MH and much over 26 feet or pulling a trailer I would pass on it.. And if you do not run back roads with no shoulders often then the long drops where the pavment ends can worry you..
