32 foot TT to Crater Lake NP

In mid-May driving up the Pacific Coast Highway from Napa CA to Seattle WA.

Want to see Crater Lake. Think about from Crescent City take US199 to Grants Pass and then State Route 234/62. From Crater Lake take state route 138 to I-5 and then state 42 to Coos Bay so we can also see the Oregon Dunes.

Your thoughts are welcome
Please give me enough troubles, uncertainty, problems, obstacles and STRESS so that I do not become arrogant, proud, and smug in my own abilities, and enough blessings and good times that I realize that someone else is in charge of my life.

Can you plan Crater Lake for your return trip later on? It 'might' be possible to park the RV elsewhere - Collier State Park or Joseph Stewart State Rec Area - both very nice, and just drive your vehicle to Crater. Early in the season they try to have the road plowed just to the lake but not around it. It's a gorgeous view with the blue lake and snow on a sunny day if you can do it.

Keep checking on this park site for updates. If they don't have another huge storm it looks like it is plowed to the Village right now so you could get to the lake itself. They always make an effort to keep that portion open. Go for it but don't plan on camping in the park. Any of the two above that I recommended is in better climate for the RV.

Ditto

There is over 10 feet of snow at Crater Lake today.

Well we were at Crater Lake in July several years ago and only half the road was open. The snow, seen at a distance, looks extra heavy this year so I would not think May will be snow free.
