Crater lake to Coos bay

Camping at Crater lake an then going to Coos bay in a few weeks. I have a 27 ft. 5 th wheel and looking for the best route. Also looking for a RV spot in Coos bay.
  • Down the hill to Medford on 62, I5 north to Roseburg, 42 to the coast. Or, 62,199 at Grants pass and 101 north. Scenic drive. Either are fine roads.
  • The Mill Casino - Hotel and RV park is great. You can get a full hook up site or stay in the parking lot for $15 a night with use of water, dump station showers and laundry. Check out their web site.

You could take 138 west to Roseburg is the closes and quickest way and no problem with your 5th wheel. Right now it's closed do to a forest fire but may be open by the time you are ready to go to Coos Bay, check with the rangers at Crater Lake before you leave.
Take 138 to I-5 at Roseburg then south to 42 to Coos Bay.
  • I believe just outside Charleston is Sun Set bay SP, can't remember the name but there is a botanical garden worth seeing while there.
