I note that on I-95 and I-85 a lot of the speed limits have been raised, some to 70 mph, others in the Richmond area raised from 55 to 60 etc.
Now were all of those folks who for years got ticketed doing 70 where it was 65 at the time driving dangerously? Heck no, common sense finally prevailed.
I remember years back in Minnesota where some roads were signed xx MPH ABSOLUTE and others just xx mph. you didn't want to exceed the limit on an absolute road.
reminds me of some town I read about years back that parked their police car with radar on the interstate going thru town and got a high % of their operating capital that way. however, their money grab got shut down by the state or fed. govt as there was not even an exit within their city limits.
