77 is a good road. 60 from Show Low to Globe is mountainous with some hair pin turns in in Salt River Canon. I travel the 60 route twice a year, to and from Coolidge, pulling a 38 foot 5er. In the canyon just go slow, shift to 1st or 2nd before going down. You will use the same gear coming back up. Do you have an exhaust brake? It will help on this road.
Think I will take Tyrones Rt. seems like a much easier drive.
