A lot more than we think?

I just purchased a new diesel pickup and am looking for a RV trailer or cabover camper in Mexico. While hunting online I came across this Mexican RV facebook group.

They have over 19,000 members. It seems to be an active group.

There is a man organizing a caravan, with great responses, for June to the Huasteca area of SLP. It sounds like a fun trip.

Maybe with the growing affluence of the middle class looking for new adventures, RV'ing in Mexico might just be getting started.
  • That is an interesting group and I will probably contact them. The first paragraph mentions having to "ha contado con el apoyo de personal de Seguridad Pública del Estado" or having to count on state police for protection.

So I guess it is a topic on everyone's mind. Traveling in groups may be the short-term solution for the future.
  • Here is a group having fun.

Looks like all the rigs have Mexican placas.
  • Interesting group with lots of members. It's mostly sellers of rvs and products. I looked for over an hour and didn't see much of anything about rv parks or boondocking.

    I guess time will tell.
  • WOW! Tons of members are Latino overlanders. Phenomenal group.

"¡Todos nuestros respetos a este gran conductor que es capaz de maniobrar con gran agilidad y destreza! ¡Nos encanta y envidia!"

....you've got to see this tow trailer jockey in action in the video at that Facebook site. He can drive better in reverse towing an 18 foot tow trailer than most drivers can drive forward towing nothing !
