- BillMFlExplorerWorse than Spring Breakers this is when snowbirds head north. Many leave by April 1 if they are on monthly rental. They will be coming north on 95 and 75. 75 has lots of new construction north of Tampa. This is a very busy week northbound, not so busy southbound.

I think they started today! It took us 4 hours to go from just South of Tampa on I-75 to Gainsville. Some construction, but no real obvious reason for several backups multiple miles long. Just about every RV we saw had Canadian Tags. Every Northbound rest area was full of RVs. the southbound ones were empty. The campground that we stopped at tonight near Valdosta said that this is the busiest they have been in weeks.
Maybe they will be there for a while, but tomorrow the Snow Birds will fly North!!!!!! - stickdogExplorerWe're heading north in the morning, April 1.

- Big_KatunaExplorer IILots of them fly. And 30 miles away you would never knew w they are here.
- phillygExplorer IIOne can only hope.
- DutchmenSportExplorerWhen we were at St. Andrews near Panama City over "Spring Break" in 2015, we learned that "Spring Break" season runs about 6 weeks long in Florida, beginning the first week in March.
So this year (2016), over our anniversary (March 10), we went to South Carolina for a week. um.... we were about the only ones camping there. Unbelievable, quiet, peaceful, and DARK at night ... such a difference from the prior year in Florida zoo!
First photo was in Panama City March 10, 2015. I sure these young people had a GREAT time. We stayed at St. Andrews State Park. This is not the state park, but what we experienced all around us!
Second photo was at McCormick's Creek State Park, SC one year later (Sunrise! The view right out our front door!). March 10, 2016. I'll avoid Florida for that 6 weeks from now on! - jvowell1ExplorerIt varies from state to state and county to county. I sell to schools in MS,Al and FL and I have had schools on spring break 4 weeks ago and sone will be on spring break the latter part of April.
- 352ExplorerSpring break usually lasts at least 30 days plus. And please be aware of the recent alligator and cottonmouth moccasin snake issues. Every year they seem to be more aggressive.
And please don't be misled by the above. We now have great white sharks on the east and west coast of Florida. - BumpyroadExplorerthere was a lot of North bound traffic on I-95 monday.
