Ran across this photo from a few years back;

Best Drive Ever

Here the road was so Narrow they needed RR tracks to keep you from falling over the edge.

Alpine Loop in the San Juan's out of Lake City, wish I was there.

Maybe we could see some others?

Great shots -- would love to get on those roads.

Here's a link to Stan Parker's San Juan's just play the slide show to see a whole lot of this great area. 4th of July is the perfect time to be in the back-roads of the high country.

Keep them coming,

High Bar Rd dropping down to the Frasier River, BC; sign at top warns of 26% grades. ALl switchbacks, but the corners are large enough to handle a grader.

My photo of The Hill, 2004. Note the trailer further up the road.

Duffy Lake Rd (BC99) from a side road to Seton Lake

Historic Barlow Rd (originally toll) SE side of Mt Hood, OR

I'll bet that road is STILL smoother and less bumpy and causing porposing when towing a trailer than the interstates anywhere in Indiana!

This is the hill coming out of Bella Coola BC Some parts of it are 18% grades and there are three switch backs.
