Best Route Bangor to Ottawa

Thanks Dale...the route I’m looking at now is route 2 from Bangor to route 89. Trying to decide whether to take 89 north around the east side of lake Champlain or stay on route 2 and cut through the center on Grand Isle. Looking to cross the border at Cornwall. Route 302 looks like an awesome ride but it will be quite a way south from our starting point at Bangor. Will save that for another day.
