Best route McAlestar to Crystal Beach, TX
Traveling from McAlestar OK to Crystal Beach TX. Google suggests a route using US271. Anybody traveled this before? Thanks in advance. Pigdoc

Have to agree with padredw. Avoid DFW and Houston at all costs. Secondary roads will be just fine for your travels. Been to Crystal Beach a couple times and we have really enjoyed it. Free ferry into Galveston. Have a dinner at Gaidos' Seafood Restaurant on Seawall Blvd. THE BEST bread pudding ever for dessert. Split one, its HUGE.
