Best route to St. Joseph Is SP
What is the best road to take to get to St Joseph Is.? I will be coming from Louisiana on I-10. Mapping software says to go through Panama City, which I would like to avoid.

- If U'r in a hurry, I'd stay on I-10 all the way over to the Marianna exit & down Rt.73/71. Thats a bit farther tho. If not in a big hurry, I'd take I-10 & exit just past Pensacola, down 87 to 98 along the coast. Beautiful drive thru some, very picturesque, coast towns. Many beach access State parks along the way. Going thru Panama City is no big deal. Have plenty of Non-DEET bug spray with you at St Joe.
- Real easy to get around Panama city. Inlaws live there and we have been camping there since the early ninties. Good roads and the folks that live there are friendly folks.
- Panama City is no big deal, just a medium sized town. Not like Tallahassee or Pensacola.
