X2 on using Relectix insulation. I cut it with radiused corners to match the roof vents and installed some little self adhesive velcro round tabs on the corners to securely mount to the ceiling. Rolls of reflectix can be found at any hardware store pretty cheap and blocks out the light and provides insulation from the sun. It's never dark up here in the summer, mine stays on all summer over the bed.
