Branson - Little Rock

Anyone here used Hwy 65 from Branson to Little Rock with their RV ? I'll have a 36' towing a tow'ed, and hate to go back up to 44 then down to 40.
  • Did it just a couple weeks ago. Use lower gears for going downhill and keep off the brake. Big trucks usually turn on 4 way flashers and move over to climbing lane to stay out of the way. Stop at Ferguson's at St. Joe for a good cup of coffee and cobbler. Enjoy!!!
  • 65 Branson to Little Rock is a great road compared to some I have been on. Like some of the lettered roads in MO like D off of 67 to Lake Wappapello
  • Hwy 65 will be fine. There are some passing lanes in case you get stuck behind a logging truck. It's a good highway with a few hills.
  • You should have no problem at all. Many years ago, 65 from Springfield MO, to Branson, and then into Arkansas was two lane. You will find many sections with extra lanes. 65 will take you to I-40 at Conway.
  • I see them almost every day 3/4 of the year and have been behind many up and down Highway 65, never have seen a problem. There are plenty of passing lanes, so taking your time of you feel the need is not a problem.
  • I towed our 35' 5er from north of Harrison to near I-40 using US 65 last summer. No problem.
