The Arcadia area has plenty of RV parks meeting your needs. We checked some of them out over the past two years, only staying at Riverview RV Park, which is actually much closer to Port Charlotte than Arcadia. It was very nice with LOTS of activities, but the price was on the high side. They have a new area added about a year ago bringing up the total number of sites to about 500. The pool area (2 pools) is well attended and the clubhouse space is huge.
Cross Creek appears to be very nice too when we drove through and checked out the clubhouse. This one is located north of Arcadia in a rural area, but was well laid out and well maintained. It has a beautiful pool area and nice clubhouse. The list of activities are many, especially if you like to golf. It lists 520 sites and when we went through in February 2013 many of the sites were occupied.
Below is a RV Park Review.com clicky for the Arcadia area. The two I've mentioned as well as others are listed. Arcadia isn't a big town, but they have the basics and several antique shops in town.
