Canada Trip fantastic

JUst completed our trip to Canada.
Left Pueblo, Colorado to Ft. Bridger, Wyo, then to Banff, then across Can 1 to Vancouver Island, then down 101 to Crater Lake, then home.
Drove 5400 miles total, put 4200 miles on the trailer, gone the month of September and no problems.
Our rig is a 2000 F-350, 7.3 diesel with 227,000 miles on it and a one year old Coachmen
Freedom Express with a front kitchen. We have owned 5 trailers and 2 different trucks and this is the best rig we have ever had.
Had to share, hope you don't mind. Don
  • Yes I was thinking 5 days out, 5 back. I was hoping to make it to Calgary. I would love to go for a month and make it to Yukon but I don't think my teens could hang that long and since Dad isn't going, mama might lose her mind lol. I'm not sure about hauling the TT with me, worried of encountering issues and not having anyone to call. I have a full size SUV and was thinking we could camp in that. Is there a lot of wildlife visible on the travel?
  • Kennedy64 Figure on paying more for fuel and rv parks. Sept was a great month with good weather. The Canadians are very friendly and the money is about the same, give them American cash and they will give change back in Canadian. We didn't even bother with exchanging it anywhere. Just enjoy and have a good trip. Don
  • Would that be 5 days out and 5 days back?

    If so:

Sault St Marie to Thunder Bay Day 1
Thunder Bay to Winnipeg Day 2
    Winnipeg to Regina Day 3
    Regina to Calgary Day 4
    Calgary to Banff/Jasper Day 5

    Time to head back...:)

Are you sure you want to do this in 10 days? Just asking.
  • I am thinking of taking my two teens and crossing into Canada at Sault St. Marie, MI and traveling as far west into Canada that we can in 10 days. It's always been a dream for me, any advice? Side note, thinking late June/early July 2015
