Cherokee

We are heading to the Cherokee KOA in May. It's been a few years since we have been there. Is it best to get on Acquoni Road / Big Cove Road in the town of Cherokee or go further up 441 towards Gatlinburg and cross the bridge further up. Coming from the south on 441 with a 42ft 5th wheel
  • I think you can flip a coin for that decision. We were just in Cherokee last weekend, not camping though, Town was busy surprisingly. 441 the busier of the 2 roads but Acquoni rd takes you through a small portion of businesses with a right turn to get to the KOA. Satellite view on Google maps shows it to be a wide intersection so there should be no issue making the turn. Having seen the intersection myself you should be good with it. I guess if it were me I would do the Acquoni rd route and miss the potentially very busy main street of 441. If you can handle 58 feet of rig in the mountains then you'll be fine.
