Been a few years but we had no issue other than it took a week with all the stops and side trips.

First we took in Aspen and Maroon Bells -- took the Toad on the Road over Independence Pass and back then headed to Redstone loved it had lunch on the River then into Marble Stayed for the Marble Marble festival, that lasted a few days -- also tried a few 4x4 trails -- ran into a couple of rain storms and saw two Double Rainbows -- stayed on 133 past a great little Reservoir -- saved Black Canyon of the Gunnison till we got to Montrose.

Oh you asked about the road -- Never been on a road in Colorado I didn't just love. You should have mo problems other than the distractions.
