Colorado Highway 14 Poudre VS I-70/Hwy 40 to Walden, CO??

Hello, Heading to Walden area this weekend and I am considering trying a new route. Living in Erie, CO area I have taken the I-70 route numerous times but the tunnel construction is a mess right now....

Enjoy the trip, I was up in North Park at the dunes a few weeks ago. Went up through Laramie, came back down 14. Living in Erie, I would not even consider I-70.
