Construction I 10, I 20 westbound TX, and NM ?

I read the earlier post concerning construction on I 10 in AZ, wondering if we will have problems going from Dallas to Phoenix? 30 ft Class C with toad.

  • Thanks to all for the replies, understand about the never ending construction, its the closings and miles long and poorly marked detours that give me fits.

  • Did it both ways on my trip Dallas to Quartzite in February. No big deal. Just try to time it thru El Paso non-rush hour, even then its just a little slow driving for about 45mins.

This is the only closing with a detour and it's for tomorrow night.

You may run into areas of repair on any interstate. They are rarely closed though because semi trucks use them. They're usually one-lane sections...gives you time to enjoy the scenery. :)

    Have a good trip!

REREAD YOUR LINK that was the March closure

    Yep - gave wrong link

There is going to be paving April 25 with delays between Benson and Tucson on April 25 at MM280. (I think I got it right this time)

Here's a good site. Zoom in on the area and click on the yellow boxes for information.

  • The traffic slows for a time in the construction areas but it is not a trip stopper.
  • Some construction in the Midland area with two way traffic on one side.
Lots of construction around El Paso
