Mid April heading to Lake Havasu and South Rim of Grand Canyon, rt 66 sites, etc. Thinking of maybe going out 1-40 then loop around to I-10 home or vice versa to mix it up. Wanting to know basic road conditions, rough, lots of traffic etc. Easiest drive.

Thanks

I-10 around El Paso can be rough at times, espc. at rush hours.

Possible Wind Events in April.

I-20/I-10 Route Sites & Sights.

Places to eat Tucson.

Tucson has gotten a little less hard now most of the construction is finished through there.

A Hodge Pogge on AZ & NM

Sites & Sights I-40 in New Mexico.

Santa Fe would make a neat detour off the 40.

Traffic can be heavy in El Paso too. Watch the signs.

The main places you'll possibly encounter lots of traffic: I-40 Albuquerque and Flagstaff. I-10 Phoenix and Tucson. As long as you try to avoid the rush hours in these cities, you should be okay. Most of the roads in these areas, including the south rim roads are excellent.
