Day 6

Great day! We woke up to 60 degrees, clear, bright and sunny! We've hit a lot of rain so this was awesome! BTW/How much does mud weigh? Because I have a ton of it all over the van and camper. Hey! I just answered my own question! Okay, so breakfast outside with an awesome view of the surrounding farmlands and mountains.

Off to Loray Caverns! Only four miles from the CG! First the Antique car museum. It was awesome!!! Late 1800s to early 1930s. Horse drawn wagons and buggies to Rolls Royce Sedans. I've taken pictures of thousands of cars over the years and added a bunch to my collection at this museum.

Then the toy museum! They had displays of toys set up from different time periods starting in the 1850s. When we got to the 1960s DW and I were amazed at how many of the same toys we'd had as kids. "You were butch" I told her. "Yeah well you were such a girl." She answered. The fight continued! It got ugly! She told me she wouldn't have sex with me again until I admitted I was a girl! I didn't see that coming... I wasn't emotionally prepared for the loss. I just wanted a hug.

We found a great place for a picnic back at our camper! Chicken and cheese stuffed ravioli in a medzo/medzo sauce. A fresh salad. Same beautiful view. A short nap ending with a clap of thunder and pouring rain. Perfect time to go back to the caverns and go 16 stories underground!!! Seriously, the caverns were magnificent! We like caverns and caves and have been to many of them. These were awesome!!! So worth it!

We drove around looking at the many farms. We went through the historic district which was small and not overly impressive. Back to the camper for a Barbeque of cheese ring sausage, caprese salad, and rice. We ate inside because of the pouring rain. :W and watched a movie. "The Gray". I picked it. We hated it. I've lost movie picking privileges until further notice.

My wife and I are loving it and look forward to reading them each day. Ignore those who don't.....they can just move on. We will be in the same area you're in come June. We plan to tour these same sites and then over to Williamsburg. Thanks for the details of places you are seeing, it will help our upcoming trip. P.s. Our rig is about the same size and layout as yours....for the two of us, we love it.

Not saying the OP should quit posting..

BUT am saying that the OP should CONSOLIDATE the postings to ONE THREAD.

By using one thread it allows folks to follow every single post without the need of wading through hundreds of posts.

This does several things, makes the forum less cluttered, easy to find/follow, all info is less spread out..

Eventually Day1, 2, 3, 4 and more will hit the cutting room floor and will be 20, 50, 100 pages down unless someone resurrects a long dead thread and brings it to the top again by posting to it.

Not to mention, there is a pretty fair chance that this type of thread belongs in General forum or even around the campfire more so in TT section which is more about technical help and questions about TTs.

Gdetrailer has the right idea in my opinion. If you start adding on to this thread each day, you can
1. Keep it up near the top of the page.
2. Put in your latest information.
3. Make it easier for all to follow you as you travel.

and perhaps most importantly -
4. Silence all those who seem to object to the new threads each day.

I would continue to put in the title of "Day #" to start each new days post but just add it in to this existing thread. You could even bold the day title.
In addition, if you wish, you can edit the title of this thread to reflect your travels instead of just "Day 6" and let this one be the one main thread.

Thank you for your participation and posts in the forum. ๐Ÿ™‚

Is RV.NET becoming a facebook page now????

Oh I get it... You don't like what I write so I should stop writing it. Dude, just don't bother reading it. Certainly don't waste your time responding to it. Glad we cleared that up. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Have a great day!

While I will admit I have not read all your "Day" posts, I would tend to agree with BillB800si a bit on this.

Not knocking you or your posts but perhaps it would serve all those folks who are "following" your posts better by just adding to you original first post..

It will bump you post to the top and make it easy for folks to follow your ramblings.

I'm stuck in a cubical and have to make an excuse just to walk by the window to see what the weather is like. I love reading about your travels and I live vicariously through the exploits of fellow RVers. At least until I can retire in two years. Thank you for your report.

I camped near there a couple of years ago and travelled up to the Appalachian trail and hiked a few miles. I'm a little claustrophobic, so caves are not the place for me.

I usually don't gripe about post but maybe just link to a blog and post your daily updates there, instead of lots of different threads in a forum.

I enjoyed your post. Its nice to read about someone enjoying their RV while I sit at work and dream. Beats reading posts ad nauseam about my WH won't light or you can't tow that. Forget those who made negative posts.
