FL local help please

Need some help again from some locals please! Need to know best route from St Augustine to Lady Lake Grand Oaks CG. Google is telling me Route 19 or Route 11 or I 95. Would like to stay off I 95 b/c of the traffic. Both 19 and 11 go thru Ocala Forest. Anyone stayed at Grand Oaks and any advice appreciated! Any problems driving a fifth wheel thru Routes or Route 11?

Your suggestions and advice appreciated again!

Thank you all for your local knowledge.

I've only been there for horse events. It's a real beautiful nice place. I'm assuming you will be parked with the exhibitors? Didn't know it was a destination CG. Be sure to check out the carriage museum it is spectacular.

  • Thanks so much for the info about the route 19 - stop and go sometimes is a bit weary but we love to go thru beauty!

    Appreciate the local advice!

Not familiar with that CG but the drive through the forest on FL19 is beautiful.

Agree, 19 is fine, not much traffic generally and good road surface.

As for the CG we've never used it. It's too close for us to use.
