Florence to Eugene or Reedsport to I 5?
Which is the better choice with the weather? We are familiar with the Florence to Eugene route, but have never used the road from Reedsport to I 5. We came up the coast to avoid snow. Thanks!

- We use Reedsport to I 5 every year for 17 years or so on the way to Florence Ore
so far we have never had a problem towing a 34 ft TT and one summer a 40 ft 5th w - Reedsport to I5 is a good road...….have used it quite a few times...…..using it next week in fact.
- I've driven both, prefer Hwy 126 (Florence-Eugene). Be sure to check the Oregon Traffic info site TripCheck.com before you use either route.
- Oh boy! The road from Reedsport to Drain is an ok road except for a tunnel and a narrow bridge. My last trip on that road cost me $9K in damage because another coach was half way on my side of the road on the bridge.Meeting a logging truck in the tunnel isn't for the feint of heart either.
I have traveled both roads and from now on, I'll go to Florence before cutting over to I5.
Now here comes those that say "no problem"
