Guatemala Highway Update: CA-2 and CA-1
The northern part of Guatemala, entering from Tapachula you will experience VERY Poor Road conditions on the CA2 highway, potholes, and unkept highway all the way to Escuintla (km 65), then is good to the El Salvador border.
The CA-1 highway is full of "TOPES or TUmulos" (speedbunmps) until you reach HUEHUETENANGO....then is good. The local indians constructed 3 to 5 of them in each little villiage, really jaw breakers,,,,probably 300 or more!
