Ah yesss, Canada Day. Made the mistake of being in a popular area with no reservations one time. It seems like every Canadian grabs whatever they have & heads for the woods.

Sure was nice & quiet in town dry camping in a supermarket parking lot that night.

I am on the road..have been for past 3 weeks. See grankids in Vancouver, shop for the new bathroom tiles, eat like a pig. Now on my way home...just rolled into Williams Lake for lunch...freakin hot....

Finally seeing sun here in Ottawa.
It's been a quiet soggy Spring here at the cottage. Looks like this weekend will wake it up a bit. Boats are out, lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, weed wackers. Ah, nature. Love it here mid week when we have the lake to ouselves.

From a friend in Alberta...they hunt mosquitoes with rifles. After being there after the last flood, I found they were as big as Rocs. Happy Canada Day all.

Finally a beautiful hot sunny day in Victoria BC. Lots of tourists at the Inner Harbour.

Have to work Sunday and Monday, so staying home for the weekend.

Home Outfitters has all the patio furniture, BBQs and accessories, plus patio dishes on sale right now. Bought new dishes for Mobi.

Cancelled our weekend trip to Porters Lake Provincial Park. Rain, rain and more rain.

Not too disappointed. We just came back from 2 weeks in NL and next weekend we're off to Maine for a week.

BTW has the problem for bats on the continent reached everyone.

Many bats in North America have something called 'white nose syndrome'. As I understand it's hard to survive this illness. & bats usually eat many time their weight in insects each night.

I'm saying prayers and hoping North American bats manage to weather this illness and gain some immunity.

But I think we can expect to donate more blood to the skeeters and and no-seeums this year.
