Heading through Norfolk, Va. Bridges/route?

Here's another vote for Newport News Campground - we were there for 2 weeks back in March last year. It rained every day we were there but we still enjoyed the view of the lake out our big window! And it was convenient not only for visiting our son and his family down in Hampton, but also for visiting Williamsburg, Jamestown, etc.

I would recommend 664 over 64. That is usually less congested. I've heard good things about Newport News campground as well.

Don't know which of I-64 or I-664 is better, but if you need a campground then Newport News City Park (easy to get to from I-64 in Newport News) is a excellent place to stop. Nice sites in the trees. We were there in 2014. I think that we came up I-664 without any problems.
