We are headed to Denver Monday morning and would be really like a solid route. Don't need to make good time.. just easy based on weather, flat, and amount of stops. Any help would be extremely helpful. I posted once before but but we now have this bad weather all around. Thank you!

Use US 287. It's FLAT...roads are in good condition and there are many places to pull off , you'll be ok.

This is the best Route in these conditions - easy drive - enjoy the warm winter in Denver!

Monday/Jan 9, is forecast to be in the upper 50s/near 60 in the Denver metro area, according to the local news channels. For the remainder of the the week, forecast is calling for 40s to near 50, and no precip has been mentioned in the forecasts. Of course, always subject to change, but it's somewhat typical. We've been well below zero the past several days, and now a gradual warming. It's what we in this area call the "stock show weather"! Bitter cold and snow with spikes in temps...and then drops again. You're traveling in one of the "spike" periods!

Use the route suggested, of staying mostly on US 287. SE Colorado is usually considerably warmer than the Denver area, so you shouldn't have extreme cold during your travels north.

Safe travels !

Take one of the routes that have been suggested to you and everyday before heading out in the morning check the weather reports for the next leg of your trip and check the road conditions as well. If bad stay where you are till they are not bad. Links to highway conditions
