Highway 20 Oregon
Going to Newport early May. Wondering what this road is like between Corvallis and the coast? Rig in sig.

- Thanks for the replies. We will be going from Eugene to Newport and Hwy 20 looked like the most direct route. We will be working our way down the coast to Reedsport and return to I-5 via Hwy 38 (which I have driven several times). Looking forward to it. It will be our first long trip (25 days) of the year.
Safe travels. - it depends one where you start. If you are in Corvallis take hwy 20, it has a lot of curves and narrow areas. I would rather drive west from Eugene to Florence, if I'm south of Corvallis. If north of Corvallis, Salem to Lincoln City is preferred by me. All are highways through the Coast Range between I-5 and Pacific Ocean. Enjoy your trip, all routes take about 90 minutes.
- About as good as it gets going from the valley to the coast.
- Noce drive. Easy for anything. It is a normal highway used by all forms of traffic daily. It is slow through Philomath, speed in town is 25 and enforced.
