Highway 4 to lake alpine/bear valley

Fairly new Rv’er, planning on riding my mountain bike up in the bear valley area and was hoping to camp at lake alpine (silver tip campground). I know the road turns to lane and a half past the lake and Ebbetts pass is a no go for a travel trailer. Curious how highway 4 from Stockton to the campground is? I’ll be towing my 25ft Rockwood mini lite with my 2013 f-150. Thanks!

Ebbett’s Pass (CA Hwy 4) is suggested no trailers. It’s doable if you are careful. I’ve done it but I won’t do it again. The drive to Lake Alpine is beautiful and easy.
