Hwy 54 Santa Rosa to Alamogorda

Question

Anyone know condition of 54 from Santa Rosa south? I quit driving that route due to continuous construction but don't know what has been done last 2 yrs. Also, any info on road conditions due to weather today. May be on that route tomorrow

Was on US-54 last summer and it is good from Carrizozo South.  A couple of years ago North of Carrizozo was rough for about 50 miles and road construction around and South of Corona, but I guess that's not much different than any other road
