I-40/I-240 east side of Memphis weekend problem

At east side of Memphis. Major construction of new flyovers. This weekend Sat 10/25- Sun and Sat Nov 1-Sun westbound I-40 traffic headed into Memphis (Sam Cooper Blvd) will be closed for placement of very large girders/beams for the new flyover. You can still access the exit marked Little Rock for the north leg of I-240, and also access the flyover that connects with south 240. Detour is via Little Rock exit to exit 12 on the north leg of I-240(Covington Pike exit).

Expect delays for westbound traffic with backup of traffic possible from mile marker 20 or further east down to the construction zone (mile marker 10). TDot requests/recommends taking Tn Hwy 385 for through travelers.

This will be in effect from 5am Saturday to 8pm Sunday both weekends.
