We drove routes 189/191 in the opposite direction coming from I80 to Jackson back in 2012. The only grade I can recall on that route is a couple of miles going down to Hoback Junction. You would be climbing that grade. If you came down to Jackson from the Yellowstone south entrance, you have already experienced a similar grade.
Once done with that one climb, it's pretty flat all the way to I80 with the Wind River Mountains visible in the distance on the left side.
Thanks CloudDriver and to all other inputs. I should have been a little more specific. Our ending destination for the day will be Cheyenne. DW has us in a KOA south of Jackson Hole so going back up to Moran is quite a ways out of the way. We have done this route (287) many times. Because we are south of Jackson Hole we seem clear for taking 191 to Rock Springs. KOA host also recommended this route (to the person who suggested this) now that we have arrived this morning.
