Mountain Road - PA 850 to PA 34

Question

Thinking about avoiding the construction on I-81 on the way to Carlisle PA. We usually come down 15 and I am looking at using PA 850 from Marysville over to PA 34 then down to Carlisle. Mountain Road looks like it would cut off a fair bit of distance. Any local people out there that can comment on its condition? Towing a 30"TT but not afraid of a few curves or hills.

I have not been on that road for over a year. It's not far from where I live, I just have no reason to travel that route.
The road was always good. There are turns and hills, nothing serious.
If you're heading to Carlisle, that is a good choice.
