Newbie here! Need help... first question... need a site

I want to park my travel trailer permanently and live in it full time through the summer season. I will have to have it towed for me from a storage compound to a new location closer to my kids, and I am seeking help from anyone who has experience with living full time in an RV/TT.

(I will continue to escape the Alberta winter by fleeing to Palm Springs but I am not able to tow the trailer myself so I will be looking to buy a used unit in Palm Springs and park it permanently there.)

I want to be about an hour out of Edmonton and I have found a couple of possibilities but would really welcome any suggestions from fellow Albertans.

Any ideas?
  • Thanks to all. I have found several more possible places to lease that are about an hour or so out of Edmonton. I have lots of other questions posted elsewhere on the forum. Everyone is so supportive.
  • Why not just buy a lot? If you are willing to pay $2500 to $3000 a year, it would not take many years for you to come out ahead with a purchase of land/lot.

I have, thank you. It doesn't seem to provide listings for the permanent type of arrangement I am seeking.

I want to park it there year-round, although I would use it for the summer only. And I would want to build up around the unit with a deck and shed. I am looking for something I would lease for around $2500 - $3000 per year.

  • I have made arrangements to have it towed. Now I just need a place to park it. Preferably about an hour outside Edmonton. As I mentioned I've identified two possible parks so far but I am looking for other suggestions.
  • Sure. Its easy to get a tow from one place to another. Dealers, rentals, insurance companies. do it every day.
Its not cheap, but it is less than you owning a tow vehicle yourself when you do not plan on moving much.
Do you have a park ( s) in mind that will lease to you for those seasons?
